What are the professional areas for the Degree in International Physiotherapy?

The Degree in International Physiotherapy from the School of New Interactive Technologies (Escola de Noves Tecnologies Interactives – ENTI-UB) and the University School for Health and Sport (Escola Universitària de la Salut i l’Esport – EUSES-UdG) provides you with a training with a sound scientific and practical basis, incorporating the latest technological advances in e-health and health 2.0. In addition, during these studies you will have a qualified teaching staff, coming from prestigious international universities and active professionally. You will therefore receive training that is specialised and at the same time adapted to the demands of society. All told, you can choose from among a wide range of career opportunities. Among which we would like to highlight these three major sectors:

  • Clinical and care field. Once you’ve completed these studies, you can work in various branches of medicine, devoted to areas as diverse as: orthopaedics, the musculoskeletal system, sports injuries, paediatrics, ergonomics, etc. But, also, in many other lesser known fields such as neurology, urogynaecology, cardio-respiratory physiotherapy, rheumatology and the dermato-functional field, thanks to the international experience of this degree’s teaching staff, coming as they do from prestigious universities in the United Kingdom, Australia or Brazil.
  • Management field. If you study the Degree in International Physiotherapy, you will also be able to devote yourself to the administration and management of centres, units or care services, as well as professional associations. Mainly, you will be in charge of carrying out activities involving the planning, management and control of physiotherapy services in hospitals, mutual insurance companies or public or private health centres. In short, it is an ideal employment opportunity for those who have an entrepreneurial spirit and like the world of business administration, at the same time as that of health.
  • If you have a scientific vocation, these studies allow you to carry out your work as a researcher in public or private institutions. Without a doubt, the goal of this clinical research and scientific work is to improve and promote new methodologies and techniques in physiotherapy.

By means of the Degree in International Physiotherapy’s course subjects such as: Anatomy, Physiology, Massotherapy, Kinesiotherapy, Cardio-Respiratory Pathology, physiotherapy in Clinical Specialties, Public Health and Health Administration, development of Technological Studies and biomechanics, among others, you will gain extensive know-how so that you can devote yourself to any one of these three professional environments.

Choose a specialised and high-quality training, by studying the Degree in International Physiotherapy at the Campus of Barcelona (UB).
