This weekend, students from the Bellvitge Campus took part in two academic volunteering activities: Sitges Triathlon and Màgic BDN Running. In both cases, students have been located in the arrival area in a physiotherapy point set up for the recovery of athletes. Under the guidance of EUSES Alumni tutors and physiotherapists (Unai Bengoetxea in Sitges and Alejandro Revilla in Badalona), the degree students carried out muscle recovery techniques (basically massages and stretching) for those participants who so wished. In Sitges, athletes could choose between different modalities programmed by 100% Half: sprint triathlon (750 metres swimming, 20 kilometres cycling and 5 kilometres running); Olympic triathlon (distances of 1.5 km, 40 km and 10 km), Half triathlon (1.9 km, 90 km and 21 km), Aquabike M (1.5 kilometres swimming and 40 kilometres cycling) and Aquabike L (distances of 1.9 km and 90 km). In Badalona, the organisers designed a 10 km race, a 5 km race and different children’s races.
