FC Barcelona partners up with the EUSES-UdG Foundation for the Master’s in Return to Play to Activity and Sports Competition

The Master’s Degree in Return to Play to Physical Activity and Sporting Competition will reach its eighth edition in the academic year 2020/21 at the Salt Campus facilities with a brand new collaboration from FC Barcelona through its Barcelona Innovation Hub knowledge laboratory, which has joined this academic project as a partner to give a new educational and professional boost to the Master’s Degree. The agreement includes, among other things, the holding of some training sessions in the facilities of the club and the participation of specialized professionals from the club and other exceptional guests.

Also for the first time this year the Master’s will open up a new version that will be taught entirely in English on the ENTI campus in Barcelona (Calle Baldiri Reixac, 7) on the same dates: from October the 16th, 2020 until November the 4th, 2021.

The pre-registration period for the Master’s (at either of the two locations) opened on March the 1st and will close on June the 14th, and must be completed by filling out the registration form on the website www.fundacioudg.org. Places are limited to 48 registered at the Salt campus and 30 places for the edition to be held in Barcelona. The assignment criteria will be the average grade of the academic record of the access studies to the Master and the evaluation of the professional experience and the continuous training related to the Master’s. If there are vacancies, a second registration period will be opened between the 3rd of July and the 10th of September.

The Master’s Degree in Return to Play to Physical Activity and Sports Competition at the University of Girona has 60 ECTS (180 hours of attendance) and is aimed at graduates in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, physiotherapists, doctors and university graduates who want to specialize in an emerging area such as return to play and readaptation to sports competition or health-related physical activity.

Some of the main objectives of this Master’s are: to train the student in sports science so that they are able to understand the process of return to play of an injured sportsman or woman; to provide the theoretical and practical knowledge to be able to completely develop the process of return to play of a sportsman or woman; to train the student in the ability to search and analyse databases linked to the sports sciences; to reflect critically on the knowledge related to the Return to play to competition of a sportsman or woman.

For all of these reasons, an extraordinary teaching team has been assembled once again with top professionals in their respective subjects, led by Director Daniel Romero (Doctor of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and Physiotherapist). The teaching team is made up of Joaquín Acedo, Eduard Alentorn, Albert Altarriba, Juanjo Bravo, Jaime Fernández, Joan Forcades, Eduard Garcia, Oliver Gonzalo, Gabriel Gual, Javier Jorge, Àlex Latinjak, Mauricio López, Marc Madruga, Víctor Moreno, Jaume Munill, David Rodríguez, Lluís Sala and Julio Tous.
