Graham Sinclair, who teaches on the Sports Science and Physiotherapy degrees in Salt and the International Physiotherapy degree at the Bellvitge Campus, and Nathalie Prévot, who teaches on the Physiotherapy degree in Salt, have written the chapter ‘“The Clash Sell Out: Negotiating Space in the Ideological Superstructure” for the book “The Clash Takes on the World: transnational perspectives on the only band that matters”, published by Bloomsbury Academic, one of the UK’s leading academic publishers.
The hardback version of the book, which contains various essays on the music and politics of The Clash, was a success and the publishers have now printed a paperback edition. In the chapter written by Graham Sinclair and Nathalie Prévot, the teachers use an intersectional approach to discuss the significance of the group within their social context and their, at times contradictory, relationship with the music industry.
