Zoe Queally
Teacher

BSc (hons) MCSP SRP, Physiotherapist and specialist in spinal problems and the clinical application of Pilates.

She started her career when she qualified as a UK trained Chartered Physiotherapist and has been fine tuning her clinical experience since 1996. She is a spinal and sports injury specialist and she uses a combination of osteopathy, Neuro-Kinetic Therapy (NKT), “Be – Activated” Muscle activation technique, acupuncture, massage and Pilates to treat her patients. Everyone whom enters the Fisioplus Pilates clinic is first fully assessed so that an appropriate and personalised treatment program can be given to each and every person.  She is one of only a handful of qualified “NKT” and “Be-activated” muscle activation practitioners in Spain.

Over the years she has worked in many clinics and hospitals throughout London alongside some of the UK´s top Spinal, Orthopaedic and Neurosurgeons as well as respected Sports Physicians. Since 2003 she has lived in Barcelona, mastered Spanish, and set up Fisioplus Pilates which is dedicated to offering the best possible treatment in English and Spanish. She has also founded the Fisioplus Pilates training program offering top level continuing professional development (CPD) courses to Physiotherapists and qualified Pilates Instructors across Europe.

In the educational field, she founded the Fisioplus Pilates post graduate training program in 2004 with the aim to provide qualified Physiotherapists and Pilates Instructors with a refined clinical assessment and functional treatment tool utilising muscle imbalance, biomechanics, and Pilates theories.

More recently, responding to the increased demand for online training, Fisioplus Pilates now offers a comprehensive program of courses, breaking down the fundamentals of the Fisioplus philosophy of movement assessment and optimising biomechanics into smaller workshops that can be followed at the pace of the participant. Zoe releases new material monthly in both English and Spanish for movement professionals across the globe.

Prior to this, she taught Physiotherapists at University College Hospital in London modules covering the lumbar spine, pelvis and sporting shoulder.

She has presented at several Pilates conferences in recent years including “Pilates Day Galicia” “The Conference, Bilbao” “Revolution Pilates, Galicia”, and previously in 2013 she formed part of the presenting team alongside Lolita San Miguel, Elena Bartley and Pat Guyton on the IV international Pilates congress in Madrid. Representing the Clinical and scientific tendencies in Pilates, she was presented an award for her contribution to Pilates.

She also represents NKT (Neurokinetic Therapy) in Spain and forms part of the Spanish teaching team.

Currently, she also works for The University of Girona  / EUSES developing and teaching the Manual Therapy and Muscle Chains Biomechanics modules for their International Physiotherapy degree since 2017.
