Neil Reid has an MA in Politics from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, and a PGCE from the University of Bolton. He began his working life as a recording musician/producer in Manchester, which he then combined with music teaching, and then moved into English language teaching when he moved to Barcelona 18 years ago. He holds the Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages awarded by the University of Cambridge. His English teaching in Barcelona has covered a wide variety of contexts, from more general English to the full suite of Cambridge Exam Courses including FCE, Advanced, Proficiency, IELTS, TOLES and now with EUSES the OET. He was an Academic Manager at the British Council, and has taught specialist skills based English courses in places such as IESE and ESADE. In recent years he has specialised in legal English including on the master’s programs at ISDE and at law firms such as Cuatrecasas and Arco.
