A university training in English which combines physiotherapy and new technologies? Choose the Degree in International Physiotherapy in English at the best Health Campus in Barcelona

The Degree in International Physiotherapy, from the School of New Interactive Technologies (Escola de Noves Tecnologies Interactives – ENTI-UB), and the School of Health and Sport (Escola de la salut i l’Esport – EUSES-UdG) is committed to providing a holistic quality training that incorporates the latest technological advances applied to the health field. Throughout this course, you will deal with the different aspects of physiotherapy, from the assessment, diagnosis, design and development of treatments, studying entirely in English, a language the command of which is not only a necessity in today’s society, but a core skill for understanding scientific production, acquiring an optimal professional level and, ultimately, broadening your professional horizons.

The presence of ENTI-UB, will undoubtedly allow you to obtain training from a university that is a pioneer in new technologies. Therefore, you will learn to develop assessment tools based on physiotherapy; to apply new technological advances and will even have the possibility of working on the creation of new technological applications, becoming a new professional with the ability to make a quality contribution to the healthcare service. In this sense, it can be said that there is a genuine merging of physiotherapy and technology. Moreover, the presence of EUSES will provide you with a specialised and innovative training in the field of health and sport.

Another advantage of this Degree is its teaching staff. Most of the lecturers have PhDs, come from prestigious foreign universities and have years of experience in clinical practice, as well as extensive experience in the academic field. In addition, they are committed to transmitting values and to educational excellence, and their constant training enables them to keep abreast of the latest advances in the industry. The following professionals should be highlighted: Mariano Gacto, Director of the Degree in International Physiotherapy, holder of a Diploma in Physiotherapy with a Master’s Degree en Physiotherapy and Scientific Evidence, he is A University Specialist in Hand Re-education from Claude Bernard University in Lyon (France); Anna Prats, Doctor in Biological Sciences and researcher at the Institute for Biomedical Research in Girona; Joaquim Chaler, PhD and medical doctor specialising in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Sílvia Xargay, PhD in Biomedicine “cum laude” with over 8 years of experience in the field of biomedical research with a special emphasis on the pathophysiology of disease.

We should also highlight the teaching efforts of: Claire Knott, an Australian lecturer with extensive professional experience as a physiotherapist both in public and private hospitals; Javier Jerez, PhD in Public Health from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Natal, Brazil) in 2016, with a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Natal, Brazil). He is currently Coordinator of this Degree, and this year will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of this course, and also for preparing the Clinical Practicum and the 3rd year of the Degree; Rocío Díaz, a professionally active medical doctor, with an academic background based on Anatomy and Medical Conditions, and Samuel Young, an Australian physiotherapist with extensive experience and career guidance, among many others.

Lastly, another positive aspect of this course is that of maintaining a continuous link at all times between academic development and the professional world. For this reason, starting from the fourth year, you can carry out your practical work experience at leading centres from all over Catalonia and France. In addition, by means of the ERASMUS mobility programmes, you can expand your international networking, building up valuable relationships with people in your academic environment.

Choose the Degree in International Physiotherapy, a training course that is entirely in English and that merges physiotherapy and technology.
