Andrea Fuente, a teacher on the Degree in International Physiotherapy, participated in the International Congress on University Teaching and Innovation, held on 4, 5 and 6 July at the Girona Conference Centre. This edition, entitled “Learning spaces: agents of change in universities” addressed the transformation of spaces and timings for learning.
Andrea Fuente co-authored a poster presentation for the event. The research project presented on the poster was conducted as part of the Anatomy classes on the Physiotherapy Degree course at the University of Lleida. Led by Dr. Ramon Aiguadé, the project involved first-year undergraduate students, who personally examined and recorded the anatomical pieces. As a result, a web page was created to allow the contents to be studied interactively.
The combination of traditional classes and the active participation of students in the online content and study has yielded very positive results in terms of student motivation and assessment, and it opens a doorway to Blended Learning.
The project has led to the creation of an online anatomy learning platform, accessible free of charge here. The web platform is still being developed, but it already offers interesting content on osteology, myology and topographic anatomy which will prove very valuable to anyone studying anatomy.
