Enrollment period now open for university degrees at the Salt, Terres de l’Ebre, and Bellvitge campuses

This Tuesday, the enrollment period for the 2026/27 academic year has opened at the Salt, Terres de l’Ebre, and Bellvitge campuses. Across all locations of the School of Health and Sport (EUSES), registration activity has been highly intense for the students who will be joining the EUSES family starting this September. In addition to this Tuesday, the designated enrollment days are Wednesday the 15th, Thursday the 16th, and Friday the 17th of July.

Salt Campus offers degrees in Physiotherapy, Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, the double degree (PASS + Physiotherapy), and the degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
Terres de l’Ebre Campus offers degrees in CAFE, Physiotherapy, and the Double Degree.
Bellvitge Campus offers the degree in International Physiotherapy, which is taught entirely in English.

UB’s Paranimf Hall Dressed for the Occasion to Award Diplomas to the 8th Cohort of the International Physiotherapy Degree (UdG-UB)

The academic community gathered this Friday in the emblematic Paranimf Hall to celebrate the culmination of the university journey of the 2022–2026 cohort of the International Physiotherapy Degree. After four years of intensive training, the new graduates received their professional diplomas in a ceremony filled with emotion.

The event was opened by the Rector of the University of Barcelona, Prof. Joan Guàrdia Olmos, who welcomed attendees and introduced the ceremony. His opening remarks were followed by speeches from Dr. Pilar Marqués, the Rector’s Delegate for UdG-affiliated centers; Dr. Gerard Muñoz, Director of the Physiotherapy Degree; and Eduard Arnau, Head of Studies at ENTI-UB. As members of the presidential board, they praised the perseverance, commitment, and dedication demonstrated by the 2022–2026 cohort and encouraged the graduates to enter the professional world with the same determination and ambition they had shown throughout their university studies. Student representatives also addressed the audience, sharing their reflections on their academic experience and the years they spent together.

The speeches were followed by the diploma presentation, the most celebrated moment of the ceremony. Afterwards, special recognition was given to the student with the highest academic achievement of the 2024–2025 academic year, Amélie Berthe de Pommery. Finally, Rector Prof. Joan Guàrdia Olmos returned to the podium to formally close the academic ceremony before the traditional performance of the university anthem, Gaudeamus Igitur, resonated throughout the hall.

The 2025/26 academic year begins at the Salt, Terres de l’Ebre and Bellvitge campuses

This Monday marked the start of the 2025/2026 academic year at the three campuses of the Escola Universitària de la Salut i l’Esport, located in Salt, Terres de l’Ebre (Tortosa and Amposta) and Bellvitge, where welcomed a total of nearly 500 new students who have joined the EUSES family and have begun our degree programmes in Physiotherapy, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, and Human Nutrition and Dietetics.

At the end of this academic year, the Salt Campus will see its fourteenth graduating class in Physiotherapy and CAFyD and its sixth in the Double Degree (CAFyD+Physiotherapy). The Bellvitge Campus will see its eighth graduating class, while the Terres de l’Ebre Campus will see its tenth graduating class in both Physiotherapy and CAFyD.

The training courses at the Centre Garbí, which are taught at the Salt Campus, have also begun, all of which are related to health, medicine and sport. New this year is the Higher Level Training Course in Radiotherapy and Dosimetry, while the other usual training courses have also been launched. Five are higher-level courses: Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Technician; Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnostics Technician; Dietetics Technician; Teaching and Socio-Sports Animation Technician; and Physical Conditioning Technician. There is also one intermediate-level course: Health Emergency Technician. All training courses are two years long (2,000 hours).

The enrolment period for the 2025/26 academic year has opened this Tuesday at the Salt, Terres de l’Ebre and Bellvitge campuses. In all the campuses of the Escola Universitària de la Salut i l’Esport, the registration activity for students who will join the EUSES family from September is very intense. In addition to this Tuesday, the assigned enrolment days are Wednesday 16, Thursday 17 and Friday 18. The Salt Campus offers the degrees in Physiotherapy, Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, the double degree (CAFyD+Physiotherapy) and the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. The Terres de l’Ebre Campus offers the degrees in Physiotherapy, Physiotherapy and the Double Degree; while Bellvitge offers the Degree in International Physiotherapy, which is taught entirely in English.

Graduation ceremony of the 2021/2025 graduating class of the Degree in International Physiotherapy (UdG-UB) at the Paranimf Hall

Once again this year, the Paranimf hall of the University of Barcelona has been the setting for the Graduation Ceremony of the 7th Promotion of the Degree in International Physiotherapy (UdG-UB). Fifty-five new physiotherapists who began their studies at the Bellvitge Campus in 2021 and who this Friday received the diploma that accredits them as professionals after four years of effort.

The ceremony was opened by the rector’s delegate for the affiliated centres of the UdG, Dr. Pilar Marquès. The initial speech gave way to the speeches of the Head of Studies of ENTI-UB, Eduard Arnau, and the director of the Degree in Physiotherapy, Dr. Gerard Muñoz. All of them praised the perseverance, attitude and dedication of this graduating class (2021/2025) and encouraged the new graduates to enter the professional field with the same determination and ambition as they have done during their university studies. On behalf of the students, xxxx spoke, who also had words of thanks for the teaching staff, classmates and family members.

The speeches gave way to the presentation of diplomas and sashes, which was the most celebrated moment of the ceremony. After this presentation, Dr. Pilar Marquès took the floor again to close the ceremony before the university anthem, Gaudeamus Igitur, was played in the hall.

Physiotherapy open day held at Bellvitge Campus

The facilities of the Bellvitge Campus have been opened this Saturday coinciding with the open doors day of the Degree in International Physiotherapy. The session has served to inform about all aspects of the degree to students who want to join the EUSES family during the academic year 2023/24. The director of the degree of Physiotherapy, Gerard Muñoz, explained academic aspects (syllabus, agreements, internships…), while the coordinators Alejandro Revilla and Gisela Catalan talked about the administrative and logistical aspects (enrolment process, accommodation…). The secretary of the Degree Anna Maria Rojo and the 3rd year student Bruna Sala also collaborated in the session. Attendees were able to take a guided tour of the facilities.

AQU Catalunya and EUSES begin a mass survey to gauge the satisfaction of recent graduates

Catalan universities and AQU Catalunya have launched a large-scale survey today to find out what recent graduates think about their studies at university. This campaign is part of the Recent Graduate Satisfaction Study and all students who have completed their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Catalan universities and higher artistic education centres within the last year will receive a survey to evaluate various aspects of their degree programmes.

Sent to more than 50,000 people, the survey allows all participants to enter a prize draw for a latest generation iPhone, which is explained in the terms and conditions here. This survey’s main objective is to find out the students’ experience of the university studies they have taken so that the centres can make improvements. In addition, the results will be published on the EUC Dades website so that future students have more information when

choosing their degree programme.

The Recent Graduate Satisfaction Study was launched in 2015. Since then, more than 100,000 people have responded to the survey. You can find the results of previous editions and more information about the project on the AQU Catalunya website.

The director of Physiotherapy Barcelona and professor of the Degree in Physiotherapy at the Salt Campus, Dr. Gerard Muñoz, has participated this September in the annual respiratory congress (ERS) held in Vienna from 7 to 11 September. Dr. Gerard Muñoz presented a poster entitled: Ergometry and Thoracic Ultrasound to Evaluate Evaluate the effectiveness of the respiratory system. Gerard Muñoz presented the poster entitled: Ergometry and Thoracic Ultrasound to Evaluate a Training Program in Post-Severe Pneumonia Due to SARS-COV-2, in which he presented the results obtained from a clinical trial conducted in post-COVID 19 patients.

The enrolment period for the 2024/25 academic year has opened this Friday at the Salt, Terres del’Ebre and Bellvitge campuses. At all the campuses of the Escola Universitària de la Salut i l’Esport, the activity for the enrolment of students who will join the EUSES family from September has been very intense. In addition to this Friday, the assigned enrolment days are Monday 15, Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17. The Salt Campus offers the degrees in Physiotherapy, Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, the double degree (CAFyD+Physiotherapy) and the novelty of the academic year 2024/2025 which is the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. At the Terres de l’Ebre Campus you can take the degrees in CAFyD, Physiotherapy and the Double Degree; while at Bellvitge you can take the Degree in International Physiotherapy, which is taught entirely in English.

The Paranimf hall of the University of Barcelona was the setting for the Graduation Ceremony of the 6th Promotion of the Degree in International Physiotherapy (UdG-UB). About forty new physiotherapists who started their studies at the Bellvitge Campus in 2020 have received the diploma that accredits them as professionals after four years of effort.
The ceremony was opened by the rector’s delegate for the affiliated centres of the UdG, Dr. Pilar Marquès. The initial speech gave way to the speeches of the Academic Director of EUSES-UdG, Rafel Madrinyà and the Director of the Degree in Physiotherapy, Dr. Gerard Muñoz. All of them have praised the perseverance, attitude and dedication of this promotion (2020/2024) and have encouraged the new graduates to enter the professional field with the same firmness and ambition that they have done during their university stage. Thomas Vivona spoke on behalf of the students, who also had words of thanks for the teaching staff, classmates and family members.
